Living In The Now

I think I have had a good amount of readings now that is fair for me to say - the majority of people I have talked to believe in the idea of living in the future.

Not to be a downer here, it is completely healthy to fantasize about the future. In fact, it is fun! The future is a place where we hope and dream. It is also a place we mindfully think of what we want to achieve and where we see ourselves grow. The future is a wonderful place to be!

However, too much fantasizing about the future may also hurt us and others. We hurt ourselves when we arrived at the future to find that it is not exactly what we had hoped for. We may also disappoint others because we gave them false hope. How can that happen? You may asked "But I believe in the law of attraction - I trusted it would happen!"

Because a lot of us focus so much on the future, we forget about living in the NOW. We forgo what is happening at the moment because we got so obsess with what the future will bring us. Then, most of us just sit at home and wait for it to happen. We also read the horoscope or predictions for year 2012 hoping for something good to happen, only to find out, nothing really did happen. Why? Because we just sat on the couch to wait and see.

If you trust it that it would happen, and do something about it - it is a different story altogether. God help those who help themselves. If we continue to hope for others to help us, we may also be setting ourselves up for failure. Think of the things you can do at the moment and how that can change your life. If it is beyond your capabilities, ask for your Angels help. Ask that you are shown guidance and be provided help in whatever area you wish help with.

I just want to make it clear to everyone that although our life may seem pre-destined - such as to have a child at a certain age, to get a job at a certain time - the future is actually NOT destined. We write our own destiny by the decision WE MAKE IN THE NOW. Some things are predestined however, such as your death. But even that, you can choose when to die as everyone has three to four exit doors to Heaven. And also if you choose to go to Heaven, it is Heaven you will go. I say that because many people who had passed, are afraid of the light and chose to stay in the human plane. As a result, they haunt the living being lonely, unacknowledged and depress. See that we all have our freewill? That we make decisions as we go?

I digress. I use the word fantasize because a lot of times our future is just too far fetch from what it currently is. Sure we can hope for it but we would not make our current decisions based on the future. The future is still too far for you to determine unless you choose what you want to do in the now! We then make hasty decision that could hurt your present moment.

The majority of us work so hard thinking that we are insured our bright future when we can earn this much and have this much in the savings account. Sure, we can work hard but do you notice how many of us ended up jeopardizing our friendships, marriage or worse, our health? All in the name to be richer? Just because we want this much of money for our so-called 'bright future', we took our friends, family and health for granted. Don't you see this a common theme among so many? Does the future really guarantee you a lifetime of happiness, success or eternal bliss if you achieve your goals?

By the way, when you don't have health, you have very least. When you have love and happiness, you are guarantee abundance, happiness and success.

Grass is not always greener on the other side. One person may hope that if he or she gets to be out of the situation to move somewhere else, to move out of the country for instance, that he or she will settle the problem once and for all. Grass is only greener on the other side if you settle the problem from your side. It is only then, you appreciate the labor of your work and see everything else greener that you may not even question about moving to the other side.

Problems occur in your life right now it is because you set that out for yourself to learn. You've written your own record before you were born so that you come to 'school', here on Earth to learn what you can become. But if you continue to ignore the current problems presenting to you, by getting out of the situation, you will never solve it problem until you face it head on. For example, if it is a control issue from a parent, one can start by saying "I cannot be controlled by you anymore. I am an adult and I would appreciate you would not be involved if I make my own decision". Sometimes a parent do not want to hear that but sometimes they do. It will work either way because as you said it, you gain the confidence to yourself. You made a decision which is the decision to disconnect from fear and cut the cord of manipulation.

Thus, I urge that we all live in the now. At the moment. Present!

The present time is what you CAN control. The future is yet to determine. What can be determine is the NOW. The now is your future dear readers. The now is actually the time you pay attention to details and work on your issues. Whatever your issue may be - whether it is health, money, home, family, friends, career - you have to work it out in order to ensure a happy future. We are all powerful in our own ways and nothing is impossible to solve!

And remember: we write our own destiny by the decision WE MAKE IN THE NOW.

  1. agree hands down on we writing our own destiny. what's the point of living if we don't have the freewill to write the story of my life?

i've been slapped in the face countless times, by the fact that life is short. i've been trying hard to live my life with as minimal regrets as possible (none is my goal), and to make sure that every second counts. i sometimes still get drawn to wanting things to be perfect, which of coz is impossible, and that would kill me eventually. and i get so annoyed when people i love waste their time on doing something stupid.

i'm learning to let go. that although i get to write my own life story, i'm not god. i don't have control over everything. i have control over my own thoughts and actions, but not the behavior of others. ultimately, the one thing i believe in right now is love. i have never thought that love can be this powerful. it definitely does wonders.

i am thankful that i found another person who believes that we can write our own destiny! hehe. loving your blog so far!
